Pay: Salary $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Assistant Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers. The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for industrial coating projects, working closely with the sales, operations, and production teams to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Work with suppliers and internal team members to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Assist in developing pricing structures and quantity-based discount models.
• Ensure estimates are competitive while maintaining profitability and adherence to industry standards.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals within required deadlines.
• Maintain and update cost databases, material pricing, and labor rates.
• Communicate with project managers and clients to clarify project scope and expectations.
• Support senior estimators in reviewing and optimizing pricing strategies

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. Previous experience will be highly considered.
• 1-3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in industrial coatings, manufacturing, or construction. If previous experience is relative or cross compatible with the coatings industry, resume will be highly regarded.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, estimating software, and other relevant tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of industrial coatings, fabrication, or painting processes is a plus.
