Applegreen Electric has a proven track record in the design and operation of world class EV charging facilities with over 500 EV Fast Charging bays in operation across the USA, UK and Ireland. Applegreen provides over 500,000 fast charging sessions to its customers per year in a rapidly growing transition to more sustainable transport fuels with a range of early mover partners including Tesla, Ecotricity, Chargepoint and others.

Position Introduction:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) construction team. In this role, you will assist in the successful execution of EV charging infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination : Support the planning and execution of EVSE construction projects, including site preparation, permitting, and scheduling
  • Stakeholder Management : Work closely with real estate, design, pre-construction, and construction teams to ensure seamless collaboration across project phases
  • Budget and Timeline Oversight : Assist in tracking project budgets and timelines, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Contractor Coordination : Help select contractors, review bids, and monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with contract terms and project specifications
  • Problem Solving & Technical Knowledge : Analyze and resolve construction challenges, leveraging technical expertise in EVSE systems, site planning, and infrastructure requirements to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and schedules, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Communication : Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise
  • Compliance Assurance : Ensure that all construction activities meet local codes, regulations, and sustainability goals

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in construction project management, renewable energy projects with managing utilities are a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
  • Basic understanding of EVSE systems and infrastructure is a plus
  • EIT, LEED, and PMP certifications are a plus

Other Requirements :

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel to project sites on the East Coast 2-3 times per week (30-40% travel)
