Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced CNC Machine Operator for a large manufacturing client located in Elgin, IL. This position will manufacture parts per blueprint, or process instruction, ensuring all specifications are met.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation $20-$24/hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts:

1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)

2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)

Responsibilities of the CNC Machine Operator:

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Digital calipers.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
• Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Perform required preventative maintenance per schedule and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications of the CNC Machine Operator:

• 2+ years' experience using production machinery
• Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD software.
• Use of computer system to issue material, labor and record quality data
• Knowledge of industrial math such as Trigonometry
• Proven history of working with gauges and calipers
