Job Description :

The Digital 3D & Factory Planning Specialist will be part of a team responsible for leading the use of digital engineering tools to support virtual prototyping, design collaboration, and validation across Vehicle Process Engineering . This role focuses on the development and implementation of CAD digital tools , including 3D factory layout modeling and Integrated Factory Models (IFM) , to support manufacturing launch activities . The position requires coordination with corporate teams, plant personnel, and suppliers to ensure efficient digital engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage CAD deliverables throughout the launch life cycle , ensuring alignment between Vehicle Process Engineering teams and suppliers .
• Maintain and update 3D library models for factory layouts and process engineering.
• Organize and lead Virtual Design Reviews (Digital Mockups) with key stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve interferences in facilities, material handling, and structural models within the virtual environment.
• Oversee project data management , documentation, and reporting to ensure model accuracy and track project progress.
• Conduct laser scanning activities to assist with factory design and layout optimization .
• Develop and implement CAD design and factory layout modeling tools , supporting asset library development and manufacturing launches.
• Promote best practices across assembly plants through a center of competence approach.
• Collaborate with program management, core teams, and plant teams to enhance integrated digital factory capabilities .

Requirements:

• Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate digital engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) .
• Experience in CAD design, factory layout modeling, and digital manufacturing tools .
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and plant personnel .
