Job Summary

As The Director of Business Development, you will spearhead efforts to acquire new clients by identifying potential leads, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions. You will lead the development of proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new business opportunities. Serving as the main point of contact for prospective clients, you will ensure their needs are met and foster long-term relationships. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and work to secure additional business. Your role will also involve developing and implementing marketing campaigns, conducting market research, preparing regular reports, and planning and executing marketing events and promotional activities.

Your Role

• Lead efforts to acquire new clients by identifying potential leads, building relationships, and presenting tailored solutions that meet their needs.
• Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new business opportunities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and work to secure additional business.
• Develop and implement marketing campaigns that align with our company's goals and objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
• Prepare regular reports on account status, campaign performance, and market insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Plan and execute marketing events, webinars, and other promotional activities to engage clients and prospects

Your Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and build rapport with clients and partners.
• Proven negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and secure favorable terms for the company.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
• A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
• Familiarity with CRM software, sales tools, and other relevant technologies to streamline business development processes.
• In-depth understanding of the MSP or IT services industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
• A strong focus on achieving measurable results and driving business growth.

Your Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred (not required).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the MSP or IT services industry.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
• Extensive knowledge of the MSP industry, including key players, market trends, and emerging technologies.
• Experience in a leadership role with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams, even if not directly overseeing a sales team.
