Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, and adoption. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills, capable of advocating effectively for clients in sensitive and complex legal matters.
Responsibilities:
· Represent clients in family law and immigration matters, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated in court and other legal proceedings.
· Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to develop case strategies and provide sound legal counsel.
· Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, petitions, and briefs, with precision and clarity.
· Advise clients on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, adoption, alimony.
· Negotiate settlements, agreements, and case resolutions on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide empathetic, sound legal advice throughout the legal process.
· Stay updated on relevant family law case law and trends that may impact ongoing cases or client interests.
· Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is organized, accessible, and up to date.
Requirements:
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
· California law license
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law
· Superior oral and written communication skills
· Excellent research skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients from diverse backgrounds
· Experience with family law case management software is a plus
Salary:
· This is a full-time, at-will position. We provide a competitive compensation package. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is subject to review with Darren Michael Richie.

· $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

· 8 hour shift
· Choose your own hours
Work Location:
· Remote, with ability to travel for in-person appearances as required by the court.
