Job Description

Our client, a prominent family office, is looking for a family office associate to join their growing San Francisco team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for complex and sensitive client and account activities as assigned by manager
  • Maintains periodic contact with client and acts as a liaison between the client and the rest of the team for various activities (e.g. setting up accounts, facilitating transactions).
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers to build their business and provide service and support functions such as portfolio analysis, account creation and maintenance, and client/prospect meeting preparation
  • Assist with providing hands-on transactional support for clients’ real estate and other significant transactions by working through established relationships with bankers, realtors, attorneys, escrow officers, mortgage brokers, insurance brokers, and contractors; review various contracts, agreements, and leases.
  • Use clients’ financial and investment data to prepare various schedules and analyses for management to facilitate decision-making. Coordinate with various departments, including accounting and tax teams, to gather the information needed.
  • Assist the partners in creating allocation proposals, preparing reports for clients, and maintaining the backend required for portfolio management
  • Working closely with third parties who serve the clients (e.g., bankers, attorneys, trustees)
  • Assist in data analyses in response to client inquiries or research projects

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience, preferably with a strong financial background
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and a desire to work on a team
  • Detail-oriented and creative thinker
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office technology (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Professional demeanor and presence to work directly with clients and senior business leaders
  • An undergraduate degree from an established institution required
