JOB DESCRIPTION
The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for processing policy changes and handling policy requests from agents and underwriters via email and phone and within established authority limits. The Underwriting Assistant also builds and maintains good agency relationships and maintains company service standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Reviews and processes endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, broker of record requests, etc., within established guidelines. Provides support to agents and others as needed by promptly and courteously responding to inbound underwriting related inquiries via phone and email. Takes the appropriate course of action to resolve issues in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and procedures. Ensures compliance with industry and governmental regulations.
