Job Description

Neurology Associates of Texas is an independent neurology practice serving the north DFW area. We are committed to providing excellent, high-quality, and compassionate patient care. We are looking for a full-time medical assistant with 2-3 years of clinical experience and Spanish speaking.

Duties include the following:

  • Rooming the patients for 1 provider
  • Efficient and accurate data entry skills
  • Schedule appointments, and tests, obtain prior authorizations, and create referrals
  • Scanning documents into the EMR system
  • Perform duties as assigned with accuracy and efficiency
  • Answer patient calls
  • Cares for patients as delegated by the provider
  • Accountable for providing safe patient care by demonstrating organizational skills that maintain and coordinate the safe delivery of quality care for assigned patients/families
  • Participates in a culturally competent plan of care that identifies patient problems, and expected outcomes, and addresses preventative measures
  • Upholds standards of quality care.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to life long learning

Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent. Must be a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to communicate with patients, family members, physicians and other health care providers, as well as other colleagues
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must possess strong problem solving abilities and analytical skills to ensure patient's needs are met
  • Must possess basic computer skills to input and retrieve clinical information, as well as patient registration and appointment information. Utilizes critical thinking and good judgement in performance of tasks
  • Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to multitask and to prioritize daily assignments to ensure smooth work flow
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience

Benefits

Benefits:Full-time, M-T 8 AM-5 PM and Friday 8 AM- 12 PM

Pay-$ 15-17 per hour, paid national holidays, and paid vacation time is negotiable
