GENERAL SUMMARY

As a Merchandiser at Catalyst Creative Group, you will play a key role in executing and refining the merchandising strategies that support the various brand's identity, customer needs, and overall business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—design, development, production, marketing, and sales—to ensure product assortments are optimized for seasonal launches, customer appeal, and profitability. This role requires strong market insight, trend awareness, and the ability to manage multiple merchandising initiatives from concept to execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seasonal and Assortment Planning: Developing and maintaining seasonal calendars and product line plans based on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis. Help curate product assortments that align with the various brand’s core identity and seasonal goals.
  • Merchandising Strategy Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, marketing, sales, and development) to ensure alignment of product assortments with brand vision, customer needs, and business goals.
  • Pricing Strategy and Margin Optimization: Support the development of pricing strategies by working closely with development and sales teams, ensuring pricing balances customer value with business profitability.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Assist in the planning and execution of product launches, from assortments to promotional strategies, ensuring all necessary materials are in place for successful market introductions.
  • Buying and Planning Process: Assist in the planning and execution of product buying with sales, product development and production. Provide input on projections and future planning of products.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and customer feedback to inform and adjust product assortments and merchandising strategies. Create and present regular performance reports to key stakeholders.
  • Customer and Market Insights: Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences. Bring these insights into the merchandising process to inform product development and assortment strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design, development, and marketing teams to ensure that product designs align with customer needs and brand messaging. Act as a point of contact for aligning product direction and launch strategies across teams.
  • Manage Key Accounts & Product Feedback: Assist in managing relationships with key retail accounts, provide merchandising support during meetings, and gather product feedback to inform future designs and strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, retail, or product management, with proven experience in product assortment, pricing, and seasonal planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage sales data and market trends to drive merchandising decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand various market segments and tailor product offerings accordingly.
