Job Summary

We are seeking a practicing Rheumatologist to join us in our Elmhurst Queens medical office.

The ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 years clinical experience in an outpatient setting
  • Patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in Population Health

Responsibilities:

  • Examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system
  • Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment*
  • Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
  • Diagnoses and treats rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles and joints.
  • Treats patients with a broad range of rheumatic diseases, such as lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma conditions.
  • Examines the patients, obtains lab reports including the X-ray reports of the joints, and prescribes anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications.
  • Suggests occupational or physical therapy to patients suffering from arthritis or any type of joint disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree, New York State Medical License
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Completion of accredited fellowship in Rheumatology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Ability to successfully interact and communicate with a diversified population
  • Be eligible for DEA registration
  • Be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
  • Pre-employment background check, health physical and drug screening
