Job Title: Private Home Schooling Teacher & Family Care Manager

Homeschool setting with Nanny & Household management Duties

Location:in our home, Spring TX 77386

Job Type: Part Time with potential for full-time, if needed

Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday 7:45am-2 pm, Wednesdays 7:45 am-5:30 pm

**We have weeks that we do need flexibility for more hours, start time 6:45 am and staying til 7:30 pm on wednesdays on the weeks of travel, so someone flexible when those needs arise**

About Us: We are a loving Christian family seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to join our household as a Private Home Schooling Teacher. We have 7 year-old boy/girl twins and both of us work full time. Our ideal candidate will not only provide quality education for our children but also assist with family management and household cleaning duties. We believe in creating a supportive and enriching environment for our kids, and we are looking for someone who shares our values.

Key Responsibilities:

**Educational Support & Teaching**:

Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to our children's needs and interests.

Provide one-on-one instruction/lessons in core subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies.

Foster a love for learning through creative activities, field trips, and hands-on projects.

Monitor academic progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

**Child Care**:

This role requires elements of child care, as the typical hours are 7:45 AM to 2 PM Monday-Friday. This incluedes 2 mealtimes of Breakfast and Lunch and a snack time. We meal prep everything in advance for our kids meals, so meal time is simply eating and cleaning up after them. Snack time would be getting snacks prepared and cleaned up. Our typical schedule for learning is after breakfast until snack time around 10:30. Then a movement break/play until 11:30. Lunch 11:30 and then learning from 12-1 pm.. We have another caregiver come over at 1 pm and take over on the children, but this role would include until 2 PM to keep up with household duties and managment items.

-Supervise and engage with children during learning and playtime. We love to homeschool as it gives us the opportunity to always be "teaching" and "learning". Whether it be a conversation about why the ice is melting or setting up a sensory activity to expand on what they are learning.

- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development. We do incorporate a lot of emotional intelligence learning, as well as life skills into our learning and teaching. We try to be very intentional in our parenting and our ideal candidate would be able to nurture our children and implement the same philosophies and nurturing as we do.

- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and educational outings. Our kids participate in an extracurricular activity monday-friday but they are typically after 12. However, coordination of some of the teachers/schedules and scheduling time off/rescheduling make-up sessions when needed would be part of this role.

**Family Management:**

- Assist with scheduling and coordinating family activities, appointments, and playdates.

-Assist with picking up mail, running errands, picking up grocery pickups, completing returns, and other family needs etc.

- Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress and any concerns.

- Help maintain a positive and organized household environment.

**Household Cleaning:**

- Perform many cleaning duties, including tidying up play areas, organizing educational materials, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.

- Assist with laundry and meal preparation as needed.

-Assist with home organization and cleaning as needed.

-Assist with dishes daily and keeping kitchen clean.

-Weekly household cleaning items.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience in teaching is required, having experience with 1st-4th grade level preferred

- Strong knowledge of educational curricula and child development.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Previous experience in household management or domestic work is a plus.
