Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care for research animals, including monitoring health and administering treatments.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including catheter placements, biopsies, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Perform biological sample collections (e.g., blood draws, tissue samples) with precision and care.
• Support study preparation activities, including labeling, room setup, and study-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GLP regulations, SOPs, and study protocols.
• Collaborate with researchers, study directors, and quality teams to ensure study success.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to data collection for research purposes.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Veterinary Technician experience with a passion for research.
• Strong familiarity with large animal handling and care (experience with pigs is a plus).
• Proficiency in technical skills such as blood collection, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring.
• High school diploma or associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
• Experience in a research setting, especially within a GLP or CRO environment.
• Interest in medical device research and development.
