Specialist - Credentialing Location Warner Robins, GA :

Work Shift: Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)

M-F Flexible hours, no more than 20 hours per week I. Position Summary: This position is responsible for all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for all medical providers as required by Houston Healthcare. Maintain up-to-date data for each provider in credentialing databases and online systems; to ensure timely renewal of licenses and certifications. Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers. Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications; monitors applications and follow-up as needed. Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required credentialing documents for all providers. Maintains provider files in current software database. Maintains knowledge of current local, state, federal and The Joint Commission requirements for credentialing providers. Establishes and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and system. Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals. Processes applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges when needed. Tracks license, DEA and professional liability expirations for appointed providers. Maintains client required files, and information in credentialing database. Audits current physicians and allied health providers. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: High School graduate or GED equivalent B. Experience: One (1) year office/secretary experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: None D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process. Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, and emails. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to research and analyze data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and internet resources.
