Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The Supervisor, Warehouse for CAPS assists the Manager in leading a group of subordinates largely in coordination of work, which may include materials handling, production support functions, coordinate maintenance, training/mentoring, interview new hires, work set up, and the effective execution of daily operations of the CAPS production and warehouse activities. Additionally, this role will engage in resource planning, creating and modifying daily schedule to optimize the workflow process. The Supervisor contributes key performance information of assigned team members leading to an effective annual performance review and will also contribute key performance information of assigned team members leading to either timely discipline or recognition.

 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties:

 

  • Responsible for payroll related activities
  • Responsible for coordinating daily activites of warehouse personnel
  • Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems
  • Oversees the work of a team that coordinates the movement of raw materials, in process goods or completed merchandise.
  • Administers strategies meant to optimize organizational inventory levels and support organizational business objectives.
  • Maintains contact with vendors and submits purchase orders or requisitions in order to ensure a continuous supply of goods.
  • Uses working knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices.
  • Responsible for department safety and training.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees.
  • Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actions.

  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Provides direct or indirect supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals.
  • Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, cGMP training/experience desired.

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
