Job Description

Our client, a law firm, is looking for a temporary Legal Assistant to support their New York City office. The ideal candidate will be tech savvy, a self-starter, and have strong attention to detail!

This position starts asap and will last for about 2-3 months.

Location: Midtown

Hours: 8am – 5pm

*Fully Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal administrative support, service, and expertise to staff and clients
• Receive and organize mail
• Notify clients of receipt notices, approval notices, and employment/travel authorization approvals
• Prepare and send out case engagement agreements, questionnaires, and initiation packages
• Assist Supervising Paralegal and Partners with case initiations, preparation, and filings
• Prepare, organize, and maintain spreadsheets and or other workflow management systems to track client information and cases
• Assist with general filing as needed
• Submit and track case inquiries
• Researching and maintaining up to date knowledge of changing immigration laws

Requirements:

• Previous experience with business immigration
• Must be tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate absolute discretion with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player mentality, while also being able to work independently
