We are growing and looking for a passionate Biomedical Equipment Technician with specialized training and experience in Dental Device Maintenance and Repair to join our team and help shape the future of dental equipment training.

Role Description

We seek an experienced Dental Equipment Specialist to join our instructional team in Schertz, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training Dental Equipment Technicians on all aspects of dental equipment in our Schertz location and various locations nationally. We would like to hear from you if you have a strong background in dental equipment installation, repair, and troubleshooting, and a genuine passion for curriculum development, education, and mentoring future technicians. Your technical expertise and dedication to teaching will be vital in advancing the next generation of skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct online and in-person theory and procedures for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dental chairs, imaging systems, sterilization equipment, suction units, and other dental support devices.
  • Provide functional supervision in lab training environments and utilize effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills; develop, update, and deliver curriculum and training materials for technician education programs.
  • Lead engaging classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and workshops for students and junior technicians.
  • Ability to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and technical proficiency?
  • Remain current with emerging dental technologies and service techniques to ensure curriculum relevance.
  • Collaborate with academic and technical teams to align training with industry standards and certification requirements.
  • Travel as needed for off-site training sessions, industry partner collaboration, and professional development opportunities.
  • Professionally interact with visiting employer partners; promote and explain our education and training programs to strengthen industry partnerships.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, Dental Equipment Repair or a related field; or equivalent experience and training as a Department of Defense (DoD)-trained or Dental Medical Device OEM-trained technician.
  • Certifications: Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT); Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET); Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM).
  • Ability to network medical devices and troubleshoot connectivity issues across a network.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in dental equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs or curriculum.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical acumen.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills; exceptional classroom management and lab skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Teaching or formal training experience is a strong plus.
