Junior Biosafety Field Service Technician- Midwestern US Territory

The full-time staff position of Junior Biosafety Field Service Technician is a member of the Quip Laboratories’ Team tasked with client service, repairs, reporting, and installations throughout Quip’s current and potential client base. This individual must have strong mechanical knowledge and be readily available to perform emergency repairs and services within the defined territory. This individual must have the ability to identify, diagnose, and correct operational issues. Individuals in this role will receive training in technical services, products, equipment, industry specific trends, and sales techniques.
Primary Territory:
This position requires at least 90% of hours spent traveling within the Midwestern territory.
Additional travel outside of the territory at the discretion of the Executive Management Committee is possible.

Our ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs and will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in the successful use of our products and equipment. This understanding will be created by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.
Requirements:
Must gain understanding and knowledge of the company’s products and services through on-the-job training. Previous customer service or sales experience and most importantly, a strong mechanical background with some electrical & electronic expertise is desired. This candidate must have a self-starting attitude, a strong work ethic, and prove to work well with a team. The candidate must have ability to achieve, relate well with clients, and gain a thorough knowledge of how the company’s products and services are superior to competitors for cleaning, disinfection and sanitation associated with the goals of biosafety.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires at least 90% travel within the assigned territory during the business week, which will include overnight stays. This position requires travelling within an assigned multi-state territory. Primary territory of travel is KY/MO/OH/TN; however, travel may be needed in any state in the continental US for training and installations.

Compensation Package:
A competitive annual base salary dependent on experience. Benefits package that includes sick/personal time, vacation, health/dental/vision/life insurance, and 401-k based upon the Company Handbook. In addition to the above listed benefits, the following items may be furnished at the discretion of the CEO: a company-paid car (after 90 days), a company-paid mobile phone, a company-paid laptop computer, a company-paid tablet, a company-paid gas card, a company expense card and toll tag.
PPE Requirements: Safety Glasses (minimum), splash goggles if needed, face shield if required or requested, chemically resistant gloves (nitrile), nuisance odor disposable respirators (as need or requested), chemically resistant apron (as needed), protective clothing.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Occasionally Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

• Potential exposure to some chemicals that can cause irritation to nasal passages, eyes respiratory system.
