Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, construction budgets, and schedules for projects.
  • Inspect worksites to assess conditions and ensure quality control.
  • Determine material, subcontractor, and labor requirements for projects.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to outline project goals.
  • Oversee and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring that all employees, subcontractors, and vendors meet standards.
  • Manage the buy-out process for projects within a $5,000 budget; assist with projects exceeding $5,000.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Review invoices and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Travel to remote locations to prepare cost estimates, establish operations, and adhere to local building codes and standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select local subcontractors and vendors.
  • Contribute creatively to building success by maintaining low costs and high-quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
  • Construction experience required, multi-family experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with NAV, ProCore, or Sage preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with a variety of subcontractors.
  • High level of integrity and resourcefulness in decision-making.
