Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $108,454.18

Max = $130,145.01

Summary

The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for delivering end-user training for Physicians, other clinicians and non-clinical staff to develop competence in the use of Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC), Electronic Health Record (EHR). and other computer software applications for various clinical areas and departments within the hospital, clinics and affiliates. The Credentialed Trainer will also assist in the creation and validation of training tools which support the education of system users, and in measuring user competency as well as effectiveness of the training program. Credentialed trainers assist in the development and validation of the training environment through use of the system, identifying issues and documenting questions and concerns. The Credentialed Trainer provides at the elbow support during the EHR re-education initiatives and affiliate go-lives. Credentialed Trainers collaborate with other educators, Analysts, Information Technology staff, Subject Matter Experts and Super Users in ensuring delivery of effective, accurate training and support to clinical and business professionals. The Credentialed Trainer will successfully obtain and maintain "credentialed" level of expertise in Epic based presentations and competency exams and is comfortable with technology and able to demonstrate an understanding of workflows and system configuration, strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, the ability to adapt to change and build rapport easily. Reports to Training Director.

Responsibilities

Primary Accountability

Deliver appropriate level of instruction and competence/evaluations required to all identified end users; staff, students, affiliates, and physicians. Apply knowledge of adult learning theory and flexibility in training techniques which reach audiences of varied backgrounds and learning styles.

Collaborates with Principal Trainers and end users to determine training needs and objectives specific to the EHR including:

  • Assist in the development of educational tools relating to new computer applications, system updates, and other organizational goals and changes
  • Assist Principal Trainers and/or Clinical Educators in developing or modifying curriculum, content and/or materials for training programs to meet the needs of end users
  • Conduct, facilitate and evaluate effective computer information systems training using appropriate methodologies, strategies, and content for end users in assigned areas.
  • Assuring that a consistent training approach is followed in training modules

Provides problem resolution and at the elbow support working with Super Users, Clinical Informatics Analysts, Clinical Educators, Directors, Service Desk Support, Subject Matter Experts, and vendor technical support to facilitate problem resolution.

Assists in the development, validation, and testing of the training environments.

Document any end-user questions, system issues, or other topics related to training delivery or content.

Coordinates with other trainers to align YRMC course build and documentation with the Epic Model standards.

Develop in-depth knowledge of workflow design and processes, and the important system functionality supporting the workflows.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE

Minimum Education Required:

Associate's Degree in Related Field

Education Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field

Experience Required

1 year experience in healthcare, technology, education, or business-related field

Computer Navigation proficiency

Strong public speaking / presentation skills

1 year experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Experience Preferred

2+ years experience in healthcare setting

Detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration

Experience in adult education

Epic Training experience (any application)

Technical knowledge related to Electronic Health Records
