Position Overview
Provide support to GBP's Design/Graphics Department. This individual will create structural designs, prototype samples and assist with artwork/graphics for the Sales Team.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with design team to achieve daily tasks. Packaging development, including prototyping, testing, and documentation for all business units. Assist with equipment testing and machine tryouts related to packaging implementation. Assist in the packaging cost estimating process. Develop knowledge of materials used and packaging assembly processes. Value Added/Value Engineered packaging improvements. Create, review, update and circulate packaging specifications. Gather critical requirements and research product alternatives. Interact cross-functionally supporting various packaging materials projects.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Familiarity with Artios CAD (both 2D and 3D0, Tops and Adobe Illustrator CC Possess strong hands-on and mechanical skills with familiarity of hand and power tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. REQUIREMENTS Working toward a BA or certificate from a Fine Arts program/Graphic Design school. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to see color and distinguish colors precisely.
CompensationThis 6-month internship pay wage is $22/hour.
